The meeting of the Architecture and Urban Planning Committee of the BRICS+ Association of Cities and Municipalities

We invite you to attend the meeting of the Architecture and Urban Planning Committee of the BRICS+ Association of Cities and Municipalities. Last year, the meeting was held in Marica, Brazil, and this year it is planned for March 15-17 in New Delhi, India.

The Committee on Architecture and Urban Development of the BRICS+ Association of Cities and Municipalities is preparing for its second working meeting, which will take place on March 16 in New Delhi within the framework of the General Assembly of the Association. Diring the March 2026 Committee meeting in New Delhi, A key agenda item will be the election of the new Chair in accordance with the approved regulations — from the country holding the BRICS presidency in 2026, which is India. During the first working meeting held in May 2025 in Brazil, the strategic goals and objectives of the Committee were defined, Mr. Pedro Morais (Brazil) was elected as Chair, the annual rotation procedure for the Chair was approved, and the key areas of work for the upcoming year were outlined. In preparation for the election of the Chair for 2026, we kindly ask you to recommend three most suitable candidates, in your opinion, from among respected and active representatives of the Indian architectural and urban planning professional community, ranking them in order of priority (1–2–3). Please note that the Chair is entrusted with initiating joint activities among architects and urban planners of BRICS+ cities and municipalities (festivals, exhibitions, competitions, symposia, and other professional initiatives), thereby fostering constructive cooperation and the exchange of experience. The 25th Edition ofWorld Sustainable Development Summit,

The World Sustainable Development Summit (WSDS) is the annual flagship multistakeholder convening organized by The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI). Instituted in 2001, the Summit series has a legacy of over two decades in making ‘sustainable development’ a globally shared goal. Over the years, the Summit platform has brought together thought leaders, heads of state and government, scholars, corporates, youth groups, and civil society representatives from across the world. The Summit series has established itself as a responsible and effective platform for mobilizing opinion-makers to drive ambition and advance pioneering actions to address some of the most pressing issues concerning sustainable development and climate change.

BRICS INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL, INDIA

The BRICS International School: New Generation, launched in 2017, is an international initiative fostering a community of young leaders and promoting a constructive BRICS agenda. Drawing on best practices, it develops future specialists across key areas of BRICS cooperation and builds a sustainable network of emerging professionals and BRICS ambassadors. The initiative is held annually with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation.

SMART CITY 2030: Sustainable Urban Development Management in BRICS Countries

Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University (Russia), together with Lovely Professional University (India), Tsinghua University (China), and the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (Brazil), invite students, postgraduates, and young scientists (under 35 years old) to participate in the II International Competition "SMART CITY 2030: Sustainable Development Management of BRICS Cities."

The competition provides students and young researchers with an opportunity to present innovative projects at the international level, receive expert evaluation from #BRICS specialists, and achieve diplomas, prizes, and international recognition. All participants will receive official certificates.

Join BRICS Ideathon

The HSE CS x BRICS Ideathon invites students who would like to develop their skills in international project work and try their hand at solving global problems.
